Lecture Title: ASEAN’s Collective Response to Disasters amid Conflict: The Case of Cyclone Mocha
Asst. Prof. Salazar teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in international relations, Philippine politics, and social science. She earned her PhD in Asia-Pacific Studies from the National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan, where her dissertation examined the role of non-state actors and transnational networks in ASEAN’s regional climate governance.
Before pursuing her doctorate, she worked as Senior Foreign Affairs Research Specialist and Head of the International Organizations Section at the Center for International Relations and Strategic Studies, Foreign Service Institute—the research and training arm of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
