Bachelor of Arts (Political Science)

Introduction

The program in place now was the result of the revisions made in 1987, 1990, 1995, 2011, 2016, and the latest round of curricular changes approved in 2018. The main objective of the most recent curricular revision was the incorporation of the changes in the General Education (GE) courses in the undergraduate curricula in light of the new GE Framework implemented by the University.

Program Outcomes

The BA (Political Science) Program Outcomes consist of the following:

  1. Demonstrate essential knowledge of the different theories, subfields, and methods in the discipline of Political Science;
  2. Design research using a variety of applicable methodologies to analyze historical and contemporary political issues in the local, national, regional, and global context;
  3. Communicate scholarly knowledge to various publics and audiences; and
  4. Practice critical thinking and ethical conduct in teaching, research, and public engagement.
