The UP Department of Political Science invites students, researchers, and faculty to a Seminar on Qualitative Research on March 13, 2026.

This seminar offers conceptual and applied perspectives on conducting qualitative research, particularly in the field of Peace and Conflict Studies. The session will cover an overview of qualitative methodologies, including analytical approaches, data collection methods, and ethical considerations. It will also feature a case study based on field interviews conducted in Kenya, utilizing thematic coding and process tracing. The seminar will conclude with an exchange of insights on the challenges and benefits of qualitative research.
