ICYMI | The UP Department of Political Science hosted a Seminar on Qualitative Research on 13 March 2026 at Palma Hall (Rooms 324–326).
The guests first paid a courtesy visit to the Department Chair Prof. Jean Paul L. Zialcita, PhD, and were warmly welcomed by members of the department: Asst. Prof. Virgemarie A. Salazar, Asst. Prof. Aaron Abel Mallari, and Teaching Associate Emmanuel Alba.
The seminar featured Dr. Dahlia Simangan, Associate Professor of International Relations at Hiroshima University, and Diana Rotich Chebet, MA student in the International Peace and Coexistence Program at Hiroshima University.
The seminar concluded with a productive exchange with students and faculty on the challenges, opportunities, and value of qualitative research in the social sciences.
