Aletheia Kerygma B. Valenciano is Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science, University of the Philippines. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (cum laude) from the University of the Philippines Diliman, and her Master of Arts in International Politics (Chinese Politics and Diplomacy) from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Her thesis looked into the regional causes and domestic political conditions that give rise to track two diplomacy as a viable regional strategy for China in its relations with select Southeast Asian states. She was a recipient of the Chinese Government Scholarship from 2017 to 2019 for her master’s degree.
She is currently the Managing Editor of Asian Politics & Policy and a non-resident fellow at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada’s Indo-Pacific Young Leaders Program.
