The UP Department of Political Science held a book workshop last Saturday, 22 November 2025, at the Hive Hotel & Convention Place in Diliman, Quezon City. The editors and authors of our forthcoming book, Contemporary Philippine Politics, gathered to present their draft chapters and exchange feedback.
Spearheaded by Prof. Maria Ela L. Atienza, PhD, and Prof. Emeritus Teresa S. Encarnacion Tadem, PhD, this new 26-chapter volume serves as a follow-up to the Department’s landmark 2006 publications: Philippine Politics and Governance: An Introduction and Philippine Politics and Governance: Challenges to Democratization and Development.
Another workshop is scheduled this coming Saturday as we continue refining the manuscript.
