We are inviting abstract submissions for the 2025 Biennial International Conference on Politics and Democracy in Southeast Asia (PoDSEA) on November 26, 2025 (via Zoom). This year’s theme is “Political Studies and Exploring Democratic Renewal in Southeast Asia.” Building on the success of the 2023 conference jointly organized by Department of Political Science at UPN Veteran Jakarta and University of the Philippines Diliman, the 2025 conference aims to reflect on Southeast Asia’s democratic experiences, analyze institutional and participatory challenges, and advance constructive ideas for democratic renewal through cross-national collaboration among scholars, universities, research institutes, and civil society organizations.
Deadline for abstract submissions is October 19, 2025.
