Professor Jean Paul L. Zialcita, PhD is the next chairperson of the UP Department of Political Science. He will serve from 19 September 2025 to 18 September 2028.
Professor Zialcita is Professor of Political Science and Chairperson at the Department of Political Science, University of the Philippines, Diliman, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on theories and methods in Political Science. His main research interest revolves around the phenomenon of migrant political transnationalism and its effects on migrant-sending countries like the Philippines.
